Our Mission
The Maywood Watchdog is an informative and educational platform primarily dedicated to helping the community of Maywood, become more empowered. This platform is directed towards focusing on five major pillars of the community. Those pillars are health and wellness, education, local government, business and economics. My intentions are to utilize education, activism and community organization in order to help address a lot of the problem within our community. By do so, I hope to further promote additional positive changes in our community, while also attempting to encourage further growth and community involvement moving forward.
Community Activism and outreach
In order to truly change the overall condition of a community, the consistent involvement of members of that same community is imperative if true change is really to occur. By making crucial and important information easily accessible to our community, this will immensely help to dispel a lot of misinformation that is currently being promoted at this time. In addition to that, it will also help to both narrow and bridge the information gap that currently exists throughout the Village of Maywood. An important goal of mine is to both identify and form HEALTHY partnerships with community members and organizations in order to help facilitate the creation of very powerful collaborative efforts.
